Description

Keeping your shears sharp is crucial for you as an artist, for client enjoyment and your overall performance and comfort.

If you are not sure you need to have your shears sharpened, we have a few questions to help you find out.

Are your shears tugging at the hair when you are cutting?
If yes, this could be due to too loose tension, adjust the tension and if the tugging continues, you need to have your shears sharpened.

Is your client looking in discomfort or blinking hard with each cut?
When shears are not sharp enough they have a rough performance and unfortunately, a “rough” experience for your client.

Is your hand getting sore or tired – more than normal?
This could be a result of a dull blade, which requires more effort on your part to do your job.

If you answered YES to one of the questions above, we recommend you have your shears serviced.
